The release of the new BS45F3332/BS45F3335/BS45F3336/BS45F3337 devices adds four new additions to Holtek’s proximity sensor product series. For IR proximity sensing applications, these new devices integrate functions including a fully integrated active IR proximity sensing circuit, a receiving circuit and touch keys. These devices all have a high level of functional integration which greatly reduces the required number of external components, such as operational amplifier, D/A converter, transistors, resistors and capacitors, thus reducing the product PCB size and costs. This set of powerful functions allows the devices to meet the requirements of most proximity sensing related products. The devices are very suitable for use in short/medium range detection applications, such as automatic soap dispensers, sensing alcohol sprayers, sensing trashcans, etc.
The BS45F333x series of devices includes an integrated active IR proximity sensor circuit whose transmission power and receiving sensitivity can be controlled using the application program. By using the integrated EEPROM, auto adjustments and calibration parameters can be easily stored. Regarding other system resources, the devices include 2 touch keys, a Flash Program Memory capacity of 2K×15, a Data Memory capacity of 128×8, an EEPROM Memory capacity of 32×8, a 10-bit A/D converter as well as a range of other functions. The BS45F3335/36 devices also provide an internal H-bridge function for driving motors or solenoid valves and other components. The BS45F3337 device provides an internal N-MOS for driving high current components.
The BS45F3332 is supplied in 8-pin SOP and 16-pin NSOP package. The BS45F3335/36 are supplied in 24-pin SSOP package types. The BS45F3337 is supplied in a 16-pin NSOP package type.
